Congregation B'Nai Israel is a Reform synagogue. We are affiliated with the the Reform Movement of Judaism and a member of
the Union for Reform Judaism. We serve a diverse population who come from various branches of Judaism. The building is only
open during religious services, religious school, and special events.
At the present time, the Temple has 81 family units, and a strong religious school which meets three times per month on
Sunday. The Temple has a Religious Director, Gary Wolfman, who has been with us for 20 years. He provides direction for
the religious activities of the Temple as well as directing the religious school, and teaching the pre Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and
Bar/Bat Mitzvah classes.
Associated with the Temple are a Sisterhood and Brotherhood, which meet several times during the year, and sponsor special
activities. Dates of meetings of these organizations are listed in the Schedule.
The Temple sisterhood operates a gift shop with a nice assortment of Judaica. This is available also during times when
the temple is open or by appointment. Contact information for the gift shop is found on the Contact Us page.
